ABOUT THE ARTIST

Leah Pirone (LAH)

“For as long as I can remember I have been infatuated with art. I hear the word and simultaneously my eyes light up, my heart skips a beat and my soul begins to sing.” – LAH

Leah Pirone (LAH) was born in Perth, Western Australia. Having studied fine art for several years, she gained high distinctions in photography, design and painting. In 2007 LAH had her first solo exhibition, selling almost all paintings on the opening night. February 2016 saw her 2nd exhibition come to life, a collection of mandala inspired paintings from the depths of her existence which was well received, included many sales, and the remaining work is currently on show at the Ferguson Hart Winery and Art Gallery in WA.

At 19 Leah had a tonic clonic epileptic seizure that almost took her life. Post tremors are with her most days & despite the shaking in her hands she continues to hand draw, illustrate & paint intricate designs. Creating calms the wobble!

With an education and undying passion in fine art photography, design and painting, Leah’s photography has an idyllic, dreamy quality, which is also evident in her fine art paintings on canvas. Her graphic design is created with the client in mind, with clean lines and a minimalist feel. With compositions that reflect her artistic eye, Leah delivers professional photography, art and design that reflects a strong foundation of the principles in light, colour and perspective.

The Heart Temple is experimental and always evolving.

Leah is a devout conservationist with a mission to connect people with the beauty of the world around them and enhance the quality of life for all living beings through her original art, photography and designs.

Showcasing her photographs from all over the world, hand drawn illustrations and paintings, she has gained much success with her works being sold to international and local collectors. With a yearning to fulfil her passion for creating, she is also a successful stock photographer for Shutterstock who has also gained recognition from National Geographic. Her works have been published in the upmarket Hawaiian Outrigger magazine, The West Australian newspaper, Master Builders magazine, Stuttgarter-nachrichten.de, LEGO® children’s book, Xpress magazine, Thrillist.com, Destinationtips.com, Arrivalguides.com, reAKT magazine, and she has also been interviewed for various online art blogs and websites. Leah has also illustrated a children’s book about unconditional love entitled The Love Bug with her best friend and Perth author, Amber Mucjanko. She also graphic designed the popular book entitled The Haiku Of Leadership written by Dr Ron Cacciope.

“Life works in mysterious ways. After various experiences with the thin veil between life and death, I was instilled with infinite gratitude for a quality of life that was now a gift. These moments of transformation helped me realise that life on earth can be taken at any moment, and if you are here you are here for a very important reason. These dances with death served to deepen my path as I gained new insights into the mind, the heart, life, and all its love and illusions. As inspiration comes to me through life experiences, dreams, meditation, intuition and nature, the beauty and heart I see oozing out of every inch of the earth is what I want to share with the world. My life continues to be a spiritual awakening, and my creativity is from this Source.” – LAH

Leah is passionate about promoting the natural harmony of Australian ecosystems. Part proceeds from everything she sells contributes to one of three non government, not for profit organisations. Take 3 (www.take3.org.au, a reputable, grass roots charity that promote litter free beaches for a higher survival rate of our delicate marine life), Wheen Bee Foundation (www.wheenbeefoundation.org.au, a NFP focused on research into Australia’s bee colonies) and the Carbon Reduction Institute (www.noco2.com.au, who plant trees and offset carbon emissions through worldwide projects in the third world creating clean energy through wind and water).

Leah lives in Perth with her husband, travels as much as she can, uses her heart as her oracle, and works from her studio in Joondanna. She continues to freelance as a painter, illustrator and photographer. You can find her at The Heart Temple market stall at Scarborough Beach and other locations around Perth, or by following the links below.
